How does this collection work?
This is a traditional fic exchange: you submit a prompt that you'd like written for you, and in exchange you receive someone else's prompt to write for them!
Does my prompt have to be holiday themed?
Nope! You can submit whatever kind of prompt you want for the exchange. If it's holiday themed, great! If it's not, also great!
What is the minimum word requirement for this collection?
There is a 2,500 minimum word count for this collection, to ensure that everyone receives a gift of a certain length.
Does my fic need to be complete?
Your fic does need to be complete at the time of submission. It must be over the mandatory word count and fit the brief of the prompt. If you think you'd like to continue your one shot into something larger, mark it as a series to be continued later!

You must gift your fic to your gifted on AO3. If it will not allow you, please contact the mods directly and we will ensure that your giftee turns their gifts on.

Pinch Hitting: How does that work?
Sometimes life happens. We sign up because we think we'll have time and then poof that time goes away. Something came up and we can no longer participate.So, what? Someone doesn't get their fic?
Nope, that's where a Pinch Hitter would come in. They'd step in at the time the original writer dropped out and fulfill the prompt. This can happen early on in the exchange, or it can happen when the original writer was supposed to submit.Sounds interesting. What if I want to sign up and pinch hit?
You can do that! There's always a chance we'll ask you to write a pinch hit if you sign up, but you're not required to say yes. If it's got a squick or you're strapped for time, you can always turn down the Bat Signal.Whew, that was a lot.
